Comments Off on It’s our Twentieth Birthday!
On Saturday 6th October we are celebrating a very important milestone, it’s our 20th Anniversary.
We are twenty! What better way to celebrate than to showcase the incredible projects we’re doing with widows and orphans in Africa! We can’t wait to reveal our exhibition, spanning eight countries, fourteen communities and twenty years of ACT’s charitable work in Africa.
From musical performances by the Portsmouth Gospel Choir (BBC Pitch Battle 2017 finalist), to poetry recitals, a mini market and much else. It is sure to be a wonderful birthday party for all!
We are also thrilled to be joined by the Mayor of Croydon, the High Commissioner of Kenya to the UK, as well as one of our beneficiary children. We will have the opportunity to hear more from them about how ACT has helped so many people over the past twenty years.
Some of our partners will be travelling all the way from Africa to take part in this celebration event – for which we feel truly honoured and blessed.
When celebrating twenty years of ACT, we feel that simply one event is not enough! That’s why we’re also hosting a charity fundraising dinner and raffle draw at Lambeth Palace, London on 11th October, to support future projects and continue our good work.
You can keep up to date with all our birthday celebrations via our social media channels and website – we hope you can join us on the day too, there’s still time to book your place!
It is 6th October at New Life, Croydon. Click here to register.
