What We Do

Our mission is to provide education for disadvantaged children and orphans in Africa and to support needy widows so they are able to support themselves and their families in a sustainable way. Our focus is on the welfare of orphans and children of needy widows in Africa to enable them achieve their full potential in life.

Our work revolves around four core activities

  • Educating Children
    ACT provides educational scholarships and support for disadvantaged children and orphan up to completion of secondary school and where possible to University level.
  • Empowering Widows
    ACT is working with needy Widows by providing counseling, as well as training in literacy, business skills and inheritance rights so that they are able to support themselves and their families in a sustainable way
  • Enriching Communities
    ACT contributes to the communities where we work by providing technical and material support to local schools to improve the quality of education and health service assistance particularly with respect to the HIV/AIDS crisis;
  • Volunteering
    ACT sends out on placements short and long term volunteers with professional skills to support our projects and activities in the communities where we work.

Our Values
In all that we do, we hold these values very close to our heart.

  • We demonstrate our Christian faith through action
  • We believe in meeting the needs of the most disadvantaged in local communities irrespective of their faith and beliefs
  • We value partnerships based on mutual respect and cross-cultural understanding
