Monitoring and Accountability

ACT has developed monitoring, accounting and reporting procedures to help our partners give regular account of the work they carry out on our behalf. The aim is to provide checks and balances in the operation of bank accounts and payments and ensure that monies and goods reach their rightful destination, the widows and their children.

Our partners are provided with copies of the ACT Handbook which sets out the guiding principles and detailed procedures to be used in the administration of the objectives. Each partner is required to sign a partnership covenant as an indication of agreement with the principles set out in the Handbook.

As part of the process ACT trustees visit the partners and sponsored families at least once yearly.

The ACT Handbook can be downloaded from here, or you can receive a copy by emailing us at info@africanchildtrust.org.uk
