Lagos: Olive Tree Parish (RCCG)

Olive Tree is a Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). RCCG is one of the largest and fastest growing of the Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria with branches all over Nigeria and in several of the major cities in the world where there is a sizable community of Nigerians. Led by Pastor Kayode Pitan Olive Tree is working in Ikoyi and its surrounding areas. ACT is supporting nine children of widows within the community.

Ilaro: Victory Parish

In October 2003 ACT agreed to work in partnership with RCCG Victory Parish, Ilaro. Ilaro is 60 km north of Lagos. ACT started by sponsoring children of widows in the Ohari tribe settlement nearby at Ologorin.

Pastor Chapi Simon Peters writes:

“There is real poverty in this place. The children of the widows at Ologorin do not go to school at all because their mothers cannot afford it."
